Help us get free parking back in westwood village

Free parking in broxton Structure!
On August 1st, the City of Los Angeles removed free parking in city structures. This eliminates the 2-free hours in the Broxton Structure. This change will harm local businesses and especially the small farmers, food vendors, and artisans that sell in our Farmers' Market! The Westwood Village Business Improvement District is requesting an exemption for the Broxton Public Lot and they need your help!

Dear____,
My name is _____ and I'm a regular at the Westwood Village Farmers' Market. I love supporting California farmers and small local businesses!
Street parking in Westwood Village is limited and lot parking is expensive. Free 2-hour parking in the Broxton Structure has made it possible for many like myself to support the market each week.
However, the city recently revoked the 2 free hours of parking in the Broxton Structure, charging $2 each 20 minutes. With the new rates, one-hour in the market will cost more than a pound of local peaches, or a lunch pupusa! This change could devastate the farmers' market and the many small businesses that sell in it.
At a time when business districts are struggling to compete with door-to-door shipping, free short-term parking has helped local shops thrive and has kept LA's business districts vibrant. This change will harm small local business owners and help their competitors: massive corporations based outside our city.
Westwood Village has worked hard to revitalize its business district, raising brick and mortar occupancy rates, hosting outdoor community gatherings, and recently turning Broxton St. into a popular pedestrian zone. The elimination of free 2-hour parking threatens to undo these accomplishments, many of which have been years in the making.
Please do all that you can to reinstate free 2-hours parking in the Broxton Structure!
Thank you for your time,
Sincerely,
________
